Still Life Drawing Class-June 28, 2-4p
Learn the fundamentals of still life drawing while exploring value, shading, proportion, and composition using graphite and charcoal. This beginner-friendly class will guide students through creating a realistic still life drawing while building confidence with observational drawing techniques.
Meet the artist:
Bella Peterson, is a landscape artist working primarily in oil paint and charcoal, drawn to the calm presence found in nature. Her work leans into soft light, open horizons, and gentle shifts in tone to create pieces that feel both timeless and personal.
In addition to creating her own work, she teaches art classes for students of all ages, from elementary children to adults. She loves helping others grow in confidence and creativity, and teaching has deepened her appreciation for the way art connects us across generations and experiences.
She and her husband and two dogs currently live in Alamogordo, New Mexico. As a proud military spouse, she is always ready for the next adventure. Much of her inspiration comes from time spent outdoors, hiking, camping, and exploring new landscapes. Her hope is that each piece she create does more than depict a place, but rather preserve a memory and evoke the feeling of standing there, fully present.
